Elisabetta Caregnato

Elisabetta Caregnato joined Missio Invest in October 2021. Prior to that, she worked 8 years at the Foundation of Politecnico di Milano as Head of the Business Development, Institutional Relations & Communication Units and remains a member of the Supervisory Board of the Knowledge Innovation Community (KIC – pan-European public private partnership aimed at innovation) in the field of urban mobility promoted by the European Institute of Innovation & Technology (EIT) of the European Union.

She is also a board member of the Istituto Buon Pastore di Milano Foundation which for over 40 years has run schools in the Milan area and manages 8 communities for hosting minors (from 0 to 18 years old) entrusted by the Juvenile Court of Milan (for a total of about 50 minors per year).

Previously she was Project Manager and Event Manager for EXPO 2015 at EIT Digital, and, for 13 years, she worked as Head of the Project Manager Team and General Manager Assistant for Milano Metropoli Development Agency, a limited public company with the mission of promoting sustainable economic and social development of Milan Area.  She also worked as a tutor of a Unit in Urban Design at the Polytechnic of Milan – School of Urban and Environmental Planning.

Her degree is in Architecture at Polytechnic of Milan with a Master’s Degree in Urban Management at Domus Academy (Milano) and she gained the Qualification for Architect profession. With a grant of ECC Erasmus Project, she spent two semesters in Urban Regeneration, a PhD postgraduate course, at the School of Land Management and Urban Policy of the South Bank University, London. She has won an architectural competition to renovate an under-used industrial site in the center of Cinisello Balsamo, a town in Greater Milan.  She is married and she has three children.
