Sr. Theresa Sandok, OSM
Sister Theresa Sandok, OSM, is president of the Servants of Mary (Servite Sisters) of Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and professor emerita of philosophy at Bellarmine University, Louisville, Kentucky, where she also served as dean of the College of Arts & Sciences and director of the Thomas Merton Center. She holds a BA in philosophy from the University of St. Thomas, Saint Paul, Minnesota, and a PhD in philosophy from the University of Notre Dame. Her academic work focuses on translating works of Polish philosophers into English, including “Person and Community” by Pope John Paul II. She has served on many boards and committees, including the USCCB National Advisory Council, Leadership Conference of Women Religious Board of Directors, International Thomas Merton Society Board of Directors, American Catholic Philosophical Association Executive Council, and International Union of the Servite Family Executive Council.
